Referring to UEFA’s official website, the draw for the Champions League group stage will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
The draw will take place at Grimaldi Forum, Monaco at 6:00 PM CET.
The drawing will feature a total of 32 teams or clubs.
26 of them will qualify automatically, while the rest will go through the play-off or Qualification scheme.
In this draw, a total of 32 teams will be divided into four pots.
One pot will contain a total of eight teams or clubs from various countries.
List of Champions League 2023-2024 Pot Allocation
Pot 1: Manchester City, Sevilla, Barcelona, Napoli, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica, Feyenoord.
Pot 2: Real Madrid, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, RB Leipzig, FC Porto, Arsenal.
Pot 3: Shakhtar Donetsk, Red Bull Salzburg, AC Milan, Lazio, Red Star Belgrade.
Pot 3 or 4: Newcastle United, Real Sociedad, Celtic.
Pot 4: Lens, Union Berlin.
